Dialogue is a way of communicating which focuses on understanding, rather than convincing «the others». This understanding enables us to build or rebuild relationships. This training is for you who is interested in exploring the potential of dialogue to transform conflicts, and to create coordinated efforts by using a dialogue process.

Nansen Center for Peace and Dialogue (NCPD) have more than 25 years of experience with dialogue facilitation and training across the globe, amongst others in Norway, Poland, Iraq, Afghanistan, Chile, the Western Balkans, and Germany.

Learning Outcomes

  • Understand the potential of dialogue to transform conflicts
  • Learn different tools to analyze conflicts
  •  Gain awareness on how identity influences our communication
  • Improve your ability to listen actively and ask good questions
  • Learn about the concept of public dialogues and experience how it works

On completion of this training, you are qualified to attend more advanced training in facilitation.

After completing the training, you will receive a certificate and a copy at our handbook in Dialogue and Conflict transformation.

This is an interactive and explorative five-days training. You will be guided through different topics and activities where you will share your personal experiences, give and receive feedback, and challenge yourself personally and professionally using the principles of dialogue.
