Poland: Dialogue as a remedy towards hostility

Hostility towards other people was becoming more serious. Radical ideologies, defined as dangerous for the society, were visible. The dialogue project in Poland started because of negative trends in the society, and because Orange Poland decided to support a positive change.

Afghanistan: Journalists are threatened – especially women are at risk

Hasina Shirzad.

In Afghanistan, press freedom is threatened. Journalists are killed and especially women are exposed. One morning when reporter Hasina Shirzad was going to work, the car she was in was blown up by Taliban. Hasina is one of the commentators during the Afghanistan Week on Youtube.

Dialogue handbook launched in Spanish by NCPD and Chilean universities

“Nansen Handbook for Trainers in Dialogue and Conflict Transformation” in Spanish.

One of the most important universities in Chile has been responsible for the translation and publication of the NCPD´s handbook into Spanish.

Demonstrations in the US influenced the Summer School

Several participants at the Dialogue Summer School live close to the protests after the murder of George Floyd. Rahel and Ezra felt a big contrast between classes in peace and the reality on the streets.

This year’s Nansen Dialogue Summer School went live over Internet.

Every year in June, the Nansen Center for Peace and Dialogue is filled with lively participants at the summer school, in collaboration with the University of Oslo. This year, the offer was online due to the Coronavirus.
